The Otsego County Library now offers a special card for educators who wish to borrow materials for use in their classrooms without using their personal cards.  Borrowing privileges are available to anyone who teaches in a school or licensed day care center within Otsego County.  It will not be issued to those who live in the County but teach outside of the county.
Educators must submit the enclosed application along with verification of employment, and a personal ID with current home address.
Daycare providers must bring a copy of their state license.

Educator Card Guidelines

Individuals who apply must have a personal card for their non-classroom borrowing.

All cards expire on July 31st of each year and may be renewed as needed.

Borrowers may check out 30 items or 1 item per student, whichever is greater, for up to six weeks.

So every teacher will have access to all subjects, we ask that teachers limit their selections to 4 seasonal items or 4 items on one subject.

Multiple copies of titles are not available.

Teachers are encouraged to keep materials in their classrooms.

No fines will be assessed on overdue items, but educators are responsible for replacing lost or damaged materials.

Borrowing may continue as long as  there are not more than 5 overdue items on the card.  Repeated overdue may result in denial of further service.
